Bristol Center for Functional Nanomaterials Annual Conference - 17-18 September 2020

01.09.2020

Bristol Center for Functional Nanomaterials (BCFN) is delighted to invite you to the 2020 BCFN Annual Conference, which this year is brought to you in collaboration with Horizon 2020 partners, NanoMedTwin project, from whom the BCFN has hosted academics and students in the past year. This conference, in addition to showcasing the work of BCFN final year  PhD students, will feature academics and students from across Europe who are working in all aspects of nanomedicine.

Due to current travel restrictions, this meeting will be held online. However, we hope that this will encourage everyone to interact with the talks and poster sessions and build new collaborations.

Conference Platforms

Zoom

Our speakers will give their talks through Zoom. The 2-day event is split up into 7 sessions, for which you will receive a Zoom-link which you simply click on the day to join. There is no need to make an account.

Please register your attendance for the sessions here. Please note that we are using GMT +1 (UK time) – when registering you can change the time zone if needed.

Slack

Alongside Zoom we are using Slack as our networking and poster session platform. Slack will be your go-to space for chats with fellow attendees and speakers. In the Slack conference space, channels will be allocated for each poster and for chat during the breaks.  More detailed information about Slack and a list of posters will be sent to you closer to the date.

Please be aware that Slack will ask you to make an account, which takes very little time. If you are willing to make an account we encourage you to use your full name and research interest to help the conversation.

Further information

BCFN have made a webpage on which you can find the latest version of the programme (currently in draft) and to which we will add further details on the use of Slack, Zoom and further information about the talks.

We look forward to welcoming you on the 17th and 18th of September.
